A crypto “whale” is a person or entity that holds large amounts of cryptocurrency. Crypto whales are essentially wealthy people holding huge bags of crypto. Whales exert large amounts of influence as both thought leaders as well as market participants. Whales can move markets in both directions. Many people actively watch the cryptocurrency wallets of known crypto whales in an effort to gauge what NFTs and cryptos they are holding, buying, and selling.
