A cryptocurrency wallet is a software application or a purpose-built piece of hardware used to manage your blockchain private keys and store your cryptocurrency safely. Every wallet has a wallet address that can be used to send and receive funds. There are many different types of crypto wallets. A hot wallet refers to a crypto wallet connected to the internet. A software wallet is either a native app or a browser plugin. A hardware wallet is a small portable device running proprietary wallet software, making it convenient to store and transfer cryptocurrency and private keys. And finally, a cold wallet refers to a wallet that is not connected to any computer networks. It’s important to remember that your cryptocurrency wallet does not store your cryptocurrency or tokens; rather, the wallet stores the passwords and private keys required to unlock your cryptocurrency, which is on a blockchain network..
