Transparency in the context of Bitcoin (and many other public ledgers) refers to the accessibility and availability of the data stored on the Bitcoin network. While many people perceive Bitcoin as an anonymous network built for secret transactions, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, many people argue that the Bitcoin network is the most transparent financial network ever created. This stems from the fact that every single transaction on Bitcoin is permanently stored on a public ledger. This ledger can be viewed for free using any number of free Bitcoin block explorers. All Bitcoin transactions are public, permanent, and extremely traceable. There are currently 1000s of full Bitcoin nodes running on computers all over the world. Every single Bitcoin full node has a 100% complete copy of the entire Bitcoin ledger.
