Satoshi Nakamoto is the name used by the author of the 2008 cryptocurrency whitepaper “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System”. Satoshi Nakamoto is also the person that released the Bitcoin Software in 2009. It is unknown if Bitcoin’s Satoshi Nakamoto is a real person or a group of people as their actual identity has never been verified. Many people presume that the name Satoshi Nakamoto is a pseudonym.
