Rarity is a factor in the value of both traditional cryptocurrencies and Non-Fungible tokens. Typically, the rarer an asset is, the more valuable it is. With the recent emergence of NFTs as a Trillion-dollar asset class, NFT rarity has become a massive topic of discussion. Some NFT collections have trait metadata that the NFTs inside the collection inherit upon the NFT collection mint. In these scenarios, the freshly minted NFTs with the most amount of rarity tend to become more valuable to NFT investors.
