On-chain transactions are cryptocurrency blockchain transactions recorded and verified on the main net of a crypto chain. All information, transactions, and blocks stored on a blockchain represent on-chain transactions. In the case of public blockchains, all of this data is freely available for anybody to see. One of the main benefits of on-chain cryptocurrency transactions is that they cannot be altered or changed after being verified and written to the immutable decentralized ledger.
