Market Cap

A shortened version of the term Market Capitalization, the term market cap refers to the total dollar value of a company’s outstanding stock shares as determined by the stock market. This metric is found by multiplying total outstanding shares by the current market price of those shares. The market capitalization of cryptocurrency projects can also be found by multiplying the token or coins’ current price by the total supply of coins available for sale.
