ENS (.eth)

The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is a protocol that enables human-friendly, easily remembered words and names to be assigned to Ethereum addresses, much like the traditional internets DNS and domain name system. The primary purpose of the Ethereum Name Service is to simplify some of the more technical and complex aspects of Ethereum and give people memorable web 3.0 usernames which are interoperable across many different blockchains and DAPPs. ENS domains end with the extension .eth.
