Crypto is a blanket term that can refer to both cryptography and cryptocurrency. In recent years with the emergence of cryptocurrency as a multi-trillion-dollar market cap asset class, the word “crypto” has become the standard catch-all term for anything to do with cryptocurrencies, blockchain, tokens, smart contracts, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), digital assets, and virtual assets.
