Bounty / Bug Bounty

A Bug Bounty program rewards hackers and security researchers when they find open vulnerabilities or broken software. Many tech companies and cryptocurrency projects set funds aside for the express purpose of funding bug bounties. It is often much cheaper to reward a researcher for finding a vulnerability before the problem results in a data breach or actual hack of live software or a blockchain.
